For its 2009 annual national meeting, NASJA came to the Midwest for the first time. We met at Lutsen Mountain.
Lodging was at Lutsen Resort, on the shores of Lake Superior.
We skied and rode on the four mountains of Lutsen, and as usual, we had a slalom race.
While the North Shore has downhill skiiing, there’s so much more, including miles and miles of trails for snowmobile riding.
Others used dog power to get around.
Other activities included a “build your own ski” workshop and ice climbing, and our meetings included a discussion of skiing and riding in the Midwest.
