Our 2014 annual meeting was held on March 24-28, in Vermont. We held our professional development seminars at the Killington Grand Lodge, and went skiing and riding at the six peaks of Killington as well as nearby Pico Mountain.
Here’s a high-level overview of what happened:
Monday, March 24
Welcome reception at the new Peak Lodge, featuring a ski-fashion show and local business owners and notables.
Tuesday, March 25
A breakfast seminar on social and new media in the snow sports industry, featuring executives from Killington, Okemo, Ski Vermont, and Slopefillers.com
Skiing with Olympic champion Donna Weinbrecht
Wednesday, March 26
A breakfast seminar featuring adventure skier, Dan Egan, who recounted his thoughts on skiing, the Sochi Olympics, and other topics.
An afternoon panel discussion with executives from Ski Vermont, Killington, Stratton, Mount Snow, and Jay Peak.
Thursday, March 27
A breakfast seminar on communicating positive and realistic information about snow sports, and the relationship between communications and journalism.
The NASJA awards banquet in the evening.
Friday, March 28
An introduction at breakfast to Quebec City and the Charlevoix region, the home of the 2015 annual meeting.
