John’s experience of learning to snowboard at age 40 led him to create Grays on Trays, a guide to snowboarding for adults 40 years old and up that has been cited by both Outdoors Online and the  magazine of the American Association of Snowboard Instuctors (AASI).  John has written for City Sports, West Suburban Living, the Detroit News, and other publications. Jeff has over thirty years of experience as a magazine and newspaper feature writer, website content editor, and website designer and manager. He is the editor of MichiganSkier.com.

Bill Semion: Detroit Examiner

Greg Snow: Allways Outdoors
A freelance videographer/producer/editor, Greg writes at Allways Outdoors, a destination website for any person who loves being active outside.  He has professional experience with Twin Cities Public TV, REI.com, and websites of many ski resorts. He has won four Emmy Awards, as well as a Harold Hirsch award from NASJA for his work in TV broadcast. Greta is a member of a local ski patrol, as well as the PSIA (Professional Ski Instructors of America).

Mike Terrell: SnoCountry
Mike Terrell, the Midwest/Northern Rockies Editor for SnoCountry.com, is arguably “dean” of the Midwest snow journalists. He’s been covering skiing, snowboarding, cross country skiing, snowshoeing and winter travel in the region for over 25 years. In addition to writing for SnoCountry, he writes for OutdoorHub. He’s written for SKI, Skiing, Ski Press, Snow Country, Cross Country Skier, Chicago Tribune, Booth Newspapers, Detroit Free Press and regional magazines. His outdoor column appeared year-round for over 23 years in the Traverse City Record Eagle. He was Midwest Editor for OnTheSnow.com for 14 years before joining SnoCountry in 2012.

Barry ZeVan: Midwest Sport/Ski Council
Continuously in the professional broadcasting and entertainment industry since age 5, Barry is a Telly Award-winning and three-time Emmy-nominated producer, writer, director, talent and production designer, locally, nationally and internationally. He garnered the highest local ratings in U.S. television broadcasting history as “Barry ZeVan, The Weatherman” in Minneapolis-St. Paul in the mid-1970s. His [Minneapolis] Star Tribune  weekly webcasts often reflect his unusually remarkable life experiences with colleagues and friends who are, and were, global leaders in the entertainment and political arenas.
